‘Switched at Birth’ season 5 video: A new look towards the final season

The fifth season of “Switched at Birth” will be premiering on Freeform next month, and in preparation for that, the folks over at the network are doing everything that they can in order to prepare for it now!

Specifically, what this means is that they’ve released the new sneak preview below that doesn’t necessarily include much in the way of new footage, but at the same time does offer up some brief insight into how this season could be the best yet, and also how grateful they all are that they are going to have a chance to present some sort of definite ending to their story and their characters.

The one thing that we imagine is likely awkward for the cast is that they are going to revisiting this show now after a pretty long layoff following the end of filming, one that is much longer than you’re going to see for the vast majority of other shows out there. Part of that was due to Freeform’s uncertainty with figuring out the right time to air the show; at this point, we’re just happy to be getting episodes and won’t complain too much about anything else that the network is doing.

When it comes to story expectations, why don’t we just keep it simple and hope that we see people like Bay and Daphne happy? Maybe that for them means figuring out how to have a successful future, maybe that means finding the right person to spend much of their life with, or maybe it’s something different. We’ve never been a big believer that any one thing should necessarily dictate the future of a character, just as the same can be said for the future of a person.
