‘This Is Us’ catch-up marathon with episodes 1-10 set for USA

This Is Us -Before the second half of “This Is Us” season 1 premieres on NBC come Tuesday, January 10, the network’s parent company is bestowing quite a gift on many of us for the holiday season: Offering potential new viewers a chance to catch up on the show before it ends up returning to TV.

Earlier this week, it was announced that on January 7, a mere matter of days before the show returns, the pilot episode is going to air at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time across USA, Bravo and E!. Following that, the remainder of the season 1 episodes will air on USA. This is not something that you see altogether often with first-year shows, and it proves further just what sort of faith NBC already has in this show to be a long-running hit that could even improve when it gets into the next batch of episodes.

Now, the one question that we do wonder is when in the world the show is actually going to get that season 2 renewal. It’s the sort of thing that we assume is inevitable just because of the big ratings so far, so we’re just waiting for it to happen. The only concern that we have for that show is that the show is going to be premiering in the fall with a second season, more than half a year presumably after the show wrapped up season 1. Will it be able to survive such a long hiatus?

At the moment, our hope is that over the course of the summer, one of these cable networks does a marathon of the entire series so far.
