‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 11 spoilers: Jamie, Eddie, an adoption case, and more

Blue Bloods season 7The bad news when it comes to “Blue Bloods” on CBS is for the time being fairly clear: There is no new episode airing tonight, even though there are new installments for both “MacGyver” and “Hawaii Five-0” coming your way! There’s a pretty easy explanation for this in that “MacGyver” has to air its episodes quickly to make way for “The Amazing Race” in April, while “Hawaii Five-0” simply has a ton of episodes to air. There’s not so much of a reason to hurry when it comes to this show.

We know that the show does return to CBS come Friday, January 6, and we’ve got a little more news about it for you now. The title for the hour is “Genetics,” and based on some of the details that are out there courtesy of CBS, we’re going to have a chance to see some the largest story for Jamie and Eddie arguably since the episode where the two finally confessed the feelings that they had for each other:

“When Eddie and Jamie become overly involved in a complicated adoption case between the birth and adoptive parents, they ask Erin to help them settle the dispute without going to court. Also, Frank looks into reports of NYPD cadets cheating on their psychological exams, and Danny learns that Jack plans to enlist in the Marines after graduation.”

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that there is going to be too much in the way of a romantic development in this episode, largely because there aren’t too many clear signs one way or another just yet. We do think that the two dealing with an adoption case in one way or another could cause them to think more of what their future together, and that is not a bad thing.

As for the story of Danny and Jack, we think that one of the more interesting components of that will be trying to reconcile the heroism that comes with serving one’s country to the obvious fear that comes with losing a loved one who makes the sacrifice. We imagine that “Genetics” could be the title of this episode for that reason, and that this story in particular could be relatable for many people out there.
