‘Star’ season 2 preview: When will Lenny Kravitz, cast return to Fox?

Tonight, Fox is doing a big experiment and doing just about everything that it can to promote the launch of their new series “Star.” After all, they are premiering the show following the fall finale of “Empire,” and to go along with that, they are even giving Lenny Kravitz some face time as Roland during the episode as well.

Hopefully, this particular experiment pays off, and we’re going to get a chance to see a wide array of different stories coming up as we see the characters of Star, Alexandra, and Simone continue towards their dreams of being one of the biggest girl groups in the world. They’re going to do what they can to secure Roland as a producer, but whether or not that works remains to be seen.

Synopsis – “While Star, Alexandra and Simone work on a demo for their chance to perform at a music festival, Roland Crane (guest star Lenny Kravitz) and his wife, Rose (guest star Naomi Campbell), come into town, revealing a big secret that threatens to destroy the group. Star then goes to extreme measures and risks it all to try to get her music produced by Roland. Meanwhile, Carlotta and Jahil go head-to-head, each trying to keep their secrets buried as someone’s life hangs in the balance.”

Will the show bring you everything that you want moving forward? It’s hard to say given that so much of that actually depends on what it is that you are hoping for and expecting from this show. Personally, our sentiment on it is that we’re going to get a chance to see something a little more lighthearted than “Empire” at times, but also dramatic — it’s almost a combination of that show and “Pitch,” given that you are talking about something here that really is a major underdog story more so than anything else.
