‘Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X’ finale rankings: Who’s in the best spot to win?

Cast -On Wednesday night, the “Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X” finale is going to be here, and in turn there’s going to be a lot of ground for the show to cover in a reasonably short amount of time. In just over two hours the winner will be announced from the final six, and then we’ll have a reunion show that eventually gives way to the season 34 announcement.

For the sake of this article, what we’re doing is presenting one last edition of the show rankings that we’ve been handing down all season. Everything now boils down to who can win of the remaining group, who has the easiest path, and also who is the biggest target. We’re going to try to weigh all of those different things as we try to figure this out, and we have to say that it’s really rather complicated this time around since there are several different configurations of people who we could see winning if they make it there.

6. Bret LaBelle – Love him as entertainment, but of the group he feels like the one person who’s got almost no shot. There hasn’t been a story of him making big moves or being respected heavily as a game-player, and he’s been on the wrong side of the vote many times. Our feeling is that the odds of him making the final three are slim, and if he does, he may get a vote from Chris or Sunday and that’s it.

5. Ken McNickle – Ken’s best hope is getting to the end with two Millennials, and then potentially getting all of the Gen X vote coupled with either a split vote elsewhere or someone from the Millennials flipping over. It’s a tough configuration, and we don’t see many of the Millennials having much respect for Ken’s game other than maybe a Hannah.

4. Hannah Shapiro – Depending on who she’s at the end with, maybe there’s a small chance. For example, maybe if there is some bitterness towards David and she happens to make it to the end with him and Bret, she could have a shot, or if she simply comes out with a great jury speech — she may have anxiety, but we do think that she is more than capable of delivering something incredibly compelling.

3. David Wright – Even if there are a person or two bitter towards him, we do think that there’s a very good chance he wins if he makes it to the end. We just think that he is such a target already that it’s hard to imagine him going on some immunity run. Also, we feel like Hannah in particular is a smart enough person to know that she can’t go to the end with him when the chips are down and expect to win. Breaking up that Ken – Hannah – David combo is going to be imperative mission for the other three players.

2. Jay Starrett – Even if he’s up against David, we see Jay winning. He’ll have had the hardest road to get there, he’s incredibly likable, and there would be something to be said for that level of challenge dominance. Maybe he’s not the most strategic of the remaining people, but that is only one component to this game. His physical and social games are excellent.

1. Adam Klein – Going into the finale, we think Adam’s right where he needs to be. Nobody should target him at final six, and if he can get rid of Jay there, he’s a good hybrid physical / mental competitor to win the final challenges. If he can get Hannah to flip at five against David, he can try to make a case to Hannah and Ken to stick with him, take out Bret, and go to the final three together. Yes, we’re crafting some fanfiction, but we do see the path to the end for Adam where he wins and wins big.
