‘Arrow’ season 5, episode 10 preview: Return date hopes for Stephen Amell series
There’s a good chance that if you’re reading this, you’ve already had a chance to check out the winter finale for “Arrow” season 5. If not, then don’t worry: We’re not going to spoil anything that happens over the course of the hour here.
Instead, the primary focus of this particular article is to start to look ahead at the hiatus coming up, at least in terms of when the show will return to The CW with new episodes. While it is not confirmed just yet (hopefully it will be following the episode), you can probably expect to see Stephen Amell and company back on your TV screen come Wednesday, January 18. Given that “The Flash” is returning the day before, this is the time that makes the most sense. It would be a mistake to start to return these shows on different weeks, since you then mess up the episode count while at the same time confuse viewers. We’ve already seen that happen somewhat in the fall, but there were some very specific reasons for it given the sole fact that we had the Presidential Election one week and the day before Thanksgiving on another.
So what can you expect to see when the show returns? The first thing, more than likely, is going to be some more of Prometheus given the big reveals that are coming in the finale. Another big one dates back to the flashback story, as you are finally going to get a chance to see how we go from Russia to Oliver eventually making it back to what was then Starling City in the pilot.
To date, this has been arguably the best season of the show since season 2, and with that comes expectations that the remainder of the season will follow that trend. Fingers crossed it turns out to be the case.
