‘Supergirl’ season 2 spoilers: The Dominators will return

Supergirl -

Tonight, we saw the end of the road for the Dominators on “Supergirl,” but it’s not so much like these characters were killed off! They are off floating around in the ether somewhere, and they are not going to be away from this universe forever.

With that being said, don’t expect another four-part crossover featuring them anytime soon. Speaking per TVLine, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that the Dominators will be appearing on “Supergirl” later this season, while fellow EP Marc Guggenheim gave a pretty good explanation as to why the other shows probably won’t be so involved:

“We’ve certainly talked about it … We don’t want to do it immediately because we just told that story. I think it’s more of a Flash and Legends question than an Arrow question because… that’s not really what Arrow traffics in.”

It’s true that “Arrow” does often get short-changed in many of these different crossover events just because it’s the one show that is obviously very different from the others, and there is no real easy way to factor it in without altering significantly everything else that it has going on. We loved the heck out of this, but it will be nice to have a break.

Beyond this, we do know that there is a “Supergirl” – “The Flash” musical supposedly planned for next year, but there’s not much being said about this right now. If we had to guess, we’d speculate that this is probably coming near the end of the season to allow everyone a chance to properly prepare for it. Everyone especially probably needs a little time over the holidays to rest up after everything that it took to film all of these.
