‘X Factor’ UK conspiracy erupts; was Honey G stage-crashing planned?

Just in case tonight’s “X Factor” episode was not strange enough, we’ve got another fresh round of conspiracy claims thanks to a video shot by an viewer who paid close attention to what was going on.

In this video, you can see a man, who appears to be the person who crashed the stage after Honey G’s performance, with a spotlight on him. Then, it appears that he is prompted, and then he starts to run towards the stage. Is this the show attempting to make some sort of huge moment that appears spontaneous on the surface? We’re definitely wondering that at the moment, given that there aren’t many other explanations for what we’re seeing here.

If we were spit-balling and desperately trying to come up with ideas, maybe you can argue that this man was supposed to be involved after the performance in some other way, but if that was the case, why was he prompted to do something at that very moment? Why was the spotlight so clearly on him?

Anyway, maybe there’ll be a little more of an explanation out there in the coming days on this one, but for now, this does feel 100% like something that the show is going to have to offer up some sort of explanation on beyond just that it was a moment purposefully cultivated to produce some drama on the show. The only positive that comes out of watching this is that you can claim that the show was always in control of what was going on, and that maybe Honey G was therefore not in any danger at all. This is a show being throttled in the ratings against “Strictly Come Dancing,” so maybe they feel the need to try a thing or two like this … maybe.
