‘Madam Secretary’ season 3, episode 8 video: The Election’s not the only source of stress…

On Sunday night, there’s a new episode of “Madam Secretary” airing on CBS, and it’s one that is clearly gold to hold a number of key implications in terms of resolving everything that is going on with the big election that President Dalton is at the center of.

While it’s not altogether clear as of yet if the results are going to be coming in completely over the course of the episode, what we do know is that Elizabeth McCord will be anxiously awaiting them. She’s cognizant of precisely how much they could mean to her and also the future of the country. If a new President is elected, all of a sudden their responsibility will be to name some of the important players in government moving forward and she’ll be left to wonder what’s next in terms of her own career. There are question marks aplenty now, and the only way to quiet that at present is for the current regime led by Dalton to remain in power in some shape or form.

Just in case that wasn’t enough, there is also one other major source of stress for Elizabeth and Dalton in this episode. As the promo below reveals, a secret arrangement between Iran and Russia could lead to damaged relations, and a major threat that could throw almost the entire world into jeopardy. The U.S. and Iran currently have a peace deal, so what happens if that all starts to fall apart?

If you’re looking for a little more information in regards to teasers, one other thing that we’re hearing is that for some of Elizabeth’s staffers, there could be some romance come election night.
