Is ‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 18 new tonight? New Sabrina Carpenter performance

We’ll go ahead and get the bad news out of the way right now: There is no new episode of “Girl Meets World” airing tonight on the Disney Channel. While at one point it did seem as though we could be getting a new installment based on the Disney Channel’s press site, that episode entitled “Girl Meets Hollyworld” actually aired next week. It was fairly fun, even if the entire main premise of it made almost zero sense whatsoever.

So while you wait for the show to return next week with the episode entitled “Girl Meets a Christmas Maya” (which we first wrote about earlier this week here), why not go ahead and give you something strictly in the fun vein that pertains to one of the series’ stars in Sabrina Carpenter? You know her for playing Maya, but as many people no, she’s also a talented singer in her own right. She’s responsible for the theme song, and she’s been doing some touring as of late.

The video below comes from earlier this week on “The Today Show,” where she stopped by in order to give a performance of “Thumbs.” If you are familiar with Carpenter’s music, odds are you’ll dig this very much. Even if you don’t know it very well, we are impressed with her vocal ability and command of the stage here. When you think about how many singers out there in the pop realm who don’t necessarily do much in the way of live performing, we have all the more respect for the ones who do.

Beyond the Christmas episode, there aren’t necessarily too many more episodes of the show beyond that — nonetheless, we’re going to be providing further news on them every step of the way, as soon as said information is released.
