NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did #VoiceSave protect Darby Walker, Aaron Gibson?

The Voice -

Tonight, “The Voice” is back with another results show, and this one could prove to be rather interesting since by our money, there are four artists who are in serious danger of needing the coveted Save: Josh Gallagher, Christian Cuevas, Ali Caldwell, and Courtney Harrell. We’re extremely worried entering this about losing someone like Ali just because she sang a song that wasn’t right for her in the slightest; as for the other three, they’re talented, but they haven’t had that performance yet that makes us see them as possible finalists.

We’re going to be updating this article throughout, so be sure to refresh the page!

Saved Artists – We McDonald and Sundance Head were the first two, which was no shock based on the iTunes results earlier in the day. Luckily, our fears about Ali were sated early, as well. She’s safe! The same goes for Billy Gilman.

The next heat of saved artists began with Austin Allsup being declared safe on the night. Immediately following that, we learned the good news regarding Brendan Fletcher! Courtney Harrell joined the two of them later, which meant that Josh and Christian were the only two of our pre-show predictions who were still in danger. Well, it turns out they were both also saved, and we were shocked!

#VoiceSave contenders – Darby Walker and Aaron Gibson. Both charted fairly high on iTunes last night, which may be proof that sales aren’t everything. Also, it’s more evidence that Team Miley Cyrus is in some serious danger.

Declared Safe – Aaron Gibson. While we’re surprised about the timing of the elimination, we are shocked that Darby Walker is already gone from the competition. Yet, at the same exact time, how shocked should we be given that her vocal abilities are so unique a.k.a. polarizing? She wasn’t going to win this season.
