‘Scorpion’ season 3, episode 9 video: Meet Sylvester’s rival — and does Cabe have a crush?

We’ve got a new episode of “Scorpion” coming up on Monday night entitled “Mother Lode,” and judging from the new sneak peek that we’ve got for you below, there is one thing in particular we can say about it: Sylvester running for Alderman could end up having implications on many people in addition to himself.

In the sneak peek below, you’ve got a chance to see for the first time Sylvester’s opponent in the election, and as it turns out, this is someone who is going to be a thorn in his side.

What complicates this somewhat is the presence of this opponent’s campaign manager, someone who has immediately two very different impacts on the Team. First, it makes it clear to Sylvester just who he is up against, and how much of an uphill battle he probably has in the event that he wants to get what he wants out of this. Also, this campaign manager may have some sort of interest in Cabe! We’re certainly down for a romantic subplot featuring the character, mostly because the idea of watching him fall in love and trying to express some sort of genuine emotion is easily something that we can get behind.

Hopefully, this story’s going to last for at least a few weeks.

While she may not be present in this particular preview, we know that one of the real selling points of the upcoming episode (entitled “Mother Lode”) is going to be getting an opportunity to see for the first time Lea Thompson in the role of Paige’s mother. Let’s just say that these two are going to have quite the trained relationship.
