‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13: Is there any future for Jo, Andrew?
So far on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 13, we’ve seen matters complicated many times over when it comes to the Jo – Alex relationship. The two aren’t exactly together at the moment, and they’ve spent most of the first part of this season staying away from each other. That changed slightly in the winter finale, but we were left on a pretty big cliffhanger where we don’t know if Alex is going to take the deal and end up going to prison.
What’s made this dynamic all the more interesting is that Andrew, who was merely trying to comfort Jo during the season 12 finale, now seems to have some feelings for her now. Is she aware of them? Based on what Camilla Luddington told Entertainment Weekly, it doesn’t necessarily seem like it:
“I really don’t think she does [know how Andrew feels]. I think she feels in the midst of a tornado, there is so much spinning around her head that she’s not picking up on any feelings. I think she’s just happy to have a friend. Even if she had a question about it, I think she’d set it aside. That would complicate things and right now she’s craving simplicity.”
We actually would not be surprised if Jo never learns about Andrew’s feelings, mostly because there are so many other things going with this show and Jo is clearly preoccupied at the moment. She doesn’t want Alex to go to prison, but at the same time, she’s worried about her husband finding her and it’s not exactly clear that there is a way for her to get out of this situation in the event that she has to go on the stand.
Hopefully, we’re going to find out the future one way or another for Alex when the show returns in January.
