‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10, episode 9 video: Sheldon vs. rocks
Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” will be here before you know it, and this one looks particularly hilarious from the onset thanks to one specific story idea: Watching Sheldon get immensely jealous because of someone he considers to be intellectually inferior to himself.
In this specific case, we’re talking of course about Bert. Amy’s colleague, who works as a geologist, is going to be receiving a prestigious award on Thursday’s episode. As it turns out, Sheldon’s going to be rather-unhappy about this, and he does give us a really great line in the promo below how rocks aren’t that special because paper always beats them. (Yes, we did just probably ruin the joke by spelling it out.)
As a result of his newfound rage, Sheldon goes on a little bit of a jealousy tear, and ends up doing something to a rock that he may end up regretting down the line. Sure, we shouldn’t laugh at someone in pain, but there are two things to remember here: Sheldon is a fictional character and therefore not really in pain, and Leonard did it first. As a matter of fact, Leonard did it so hard that he ended up giving himself a nosebleed as a result of it.
Based on all the evidence, this episode looks like it’ll be a good resource of comedy, and we’re rather glad to see things focusing on more on the professional side of things for Sheldon. While we do want to see him move forward with Amy and have a future in the romantic sense, this show is also about characters who are masters in their field. We do think that by the end of it, Sheldon should have some sort of professional achievement that takes things to another level. If for no other reason, wouldn’t it be funny to see that play out?
