‘Bones’ season 12 spoilers: More Buck and Wanda; Jamie Boreanaz to appear

As you enjoy the remainder of the weekend, let’s dive into a couple of fun teases for the final season of “Bones” — even though one of them may start to make you a little bit nostalgic in the process.

For at least one episode in the final season, we’re going to be seeing Buck and Wanda! Of course, in the process we’re going to be saying goodbye to the classic Booth / Brennan alter egos — and their wigs. This is something that David Boreanaz confirmed himself in a post on Twitter. This is the sort of thing that’s a little sad, but you’re grateful for all of the memories. This is a show that can get dramatic, and rather effectively so. Still, we do think that many of its better moments have come when it was a little more lighthearted and silly. These characters at times were prime examples of that, and the strength that these two characters have when it comes to solving crimes by any means necessary.

The return of Buck and Wanda comes as we know that many other familiar faces from the show’s past are going to be returning, including Eric Millegan, Betty White, Eddie McClintock, and Stephen Frey. Hopefully, there are many more coming before the series finale!

One other thing we know, also per David’s Twitter, is that his wife Jamie (Bergman) Boreanaz will be turning up it at least a cameo capacity. Given that we are near the end, we’re down for whatever sort of meta-reference to real life that we can get. For example, it’d be a lot of fun to find a way to get Zooey Deschanel back for another episode, though we imagine it’s tough given her “New Girl” commitments.
