‘Poldark’ season 2, episode 7 preview (PBS): teases on Ross, Elizabeth, Caroline, and more

Poldark -

Tomorrow night marks another new episode of “Poldark” on PBS, and this is one that first aired on BBC One a matter of weeks ago in Great Britain. There, it generated a great deal of controversy and discussion, and we imagine that the same thing could happen here.

We don’t want to give too much away here in the event that you haven’t read the Winston Graham books or know the original television series, but if you have, let’s just say that there is a moment coming that you’ve likely been anticipating for some time. It’s a little bit different than it is in previous iterations, but it is still enough for PBS to issue the following warning: “This episode contains scenes which may not be suitable for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.”

Let’s move forward now to hand out a few teasers for what you can expect to see:

1. Emotions between Dwight and Caroline are going to be at a high point after a recent series of actions. By the end of the episode, there’s something that happens that will likely elicit a big reaction.

2. George Warleggan loves to torment Ross Poldark in any way that he possibly can, but could there be another reason for him spending more and more time with Elizabeth beyond driving him up the wall?

3. Demelza and Elizabeth have an incredibly memorable scene in the episode that will inject some levity — which is good, given that there’s not going to be a whole lot of that elsewhere.

4. By the end of the episode, Ross will make a stunning decision that could change some perceptions of him for some time.

If for whatever reason you really can’t wait to know what happens, you can head over here to get some more information on the episode. Click at your own discretion, as there are spoilers within!

Otherwise, we’ll be back on Sunday night to break down Ross’ big decision. (Photo: PBS.)
