Is ‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4, episode 7 new tonight? Return date and more
When you look at the majority of the shows that are airing tonight, there is one common thread among many of them: They’re not coming on largely because of the election. It’s dominating almost the entirety of the airtime for major networks, and it’s not something that you don’t want to air against just because it’ll be incredibly difficult to compete.
Tonight, “Agents of SHIELD” is not going to be airing a new episode in part because of the race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, but it actually goes so much deeper than that. There’s also not going to be a new episode the next week, or the week after that. The biggest reason for that is merely because ABC doesn’t want to play a game with scheduling hot-potato with the show. They want to air new episodes at a time when they can air them consistently. If they came back next week, they’d still have to consider the fact that November 22 would be right before the start of the Thanksgiving holiday. That can be tricky.
The return of “Agents of SHIELD” will air on ABC come Tuesday, November 29. We’ll have (hopefully) some other news on that moving forward.
What we can tell you – Don’t be too concerned about the fate of Coulson, Fitz, or Robbie Reyes despite what you saw at the end of this past episode. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Clark Gregg had the following to say about the fate of these characters:
“The more sophisticated audience members will suspect that Coulson may not be dead in episode 6 of season 4 … and probably the same goes for Fitz and young Robbie Reyes.”
Did you really expect anything otherwise? This is the sort of show where they’re not going to kill off this many of its lead characters! Hopefully, at least Fitz and Coulson will be around until the end of the series — it’s a little early to tell on Ghost Rider.

So they should give us at least 2 hours of runtime since its gonna be around 3 weeks with no show at all.

The last episode was great — really wouldn’t have minded.
