‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 spoilers: The Legion of Doom will have its own story
While the past few episodes of “Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW have certainly entertained, there is still a question that demands some sort of attention: When in the world are we getting to the Legion of Doom? Before the season began, they were announced as the primary villains; yet, at the same time we’ve yet to see more of them beyond just brief moments with Damien Darhk and the Reverse-Flash. Neither Malcolm Merlyn or Captain Cold have appeared; we know that Snart will be turning up in the midseason finale for the first time, but the status of these people on the show beyond that is not entirely clear.
Luckily, we’re hearing now that as the season goes along, these villains will surface more and more together — think of it almost as a season of “The Flash” where the villain becomes more prominent in the second half. As a matter of fact, executive producer Greg Berlanti told Entertainment Weekly recently that one episode in particular is going to be rounding up many of the evil-doers together and giving them the lion’s share of the screen time:
“It’s the ultimate bad guy team up … We just finished the script for an episode that we’ve been tentatively calling ‘Legion of Doom’ that’s all from the bad guys’ perspective.”
Now, we just have to hope that this episode will illuminate as to what the villains’ particular endgame coming up this season will be. That, at least for the time being, is one of the biggest metaphorical flaws in the ointment. These villains are all compelling (we know them rather well and have seen them before), but we don’t exactly know what it is that they want or how they will come together and combine their powers Captain Planet-style for a particular goal. Should be fun. Also, seeing the four of them butt heads, given that they’re all alpha-male types, will be a tremendous source of entertainment.
Unfortunately, we can’t offer too much more insight on the baddies now — but we can tell you that if you head over here, you can get some further teases for what’s coming up on “Legends of Tomorrow” this season! (Photo: The CW.)
