‘Big Brother OTT’ spoilers: Scott’s last stand
Are we going to miss Scott on “Big Brother: Over the Top“? It’s a complicated question with a complicated answer.
We do know for certain that we’re grateful he was cast. The show casts a lot of the insecure nerd archetype, but doesn’t always get around to casting the more confident variety. Scott certainly fits that bill more so than an Ian or a Steve Moses. He’s a lot more like Ronnie in season 11, and we know how that ended for him. He was a little too bonkers in the house, and in Scott’s case WAY too devoted to a single ally. You would think that Alex saved him from a burning building with the amount of professions of loyalty that he has for her. He’s going to be really broken up to learn that 1) Alex’s sister is playing the game with her and 2) she really couldn’t care less if he stays in the game.
Scott’s probably a super-nice guy outside of the show; he’s got a tough job, but we love that he cares so much about the show and he fought hard while he was there. He just made too many mistakes and didn’t do a whole lot to endear himself to America. Some people have been exceptionally mean to him with all of the dandruff stuff as of late. Alas, the time seems right for him to go, and go he shall.
Scott’s last-ditch effort to save himself today came yet again in the form of the Golden Door in the house, one that he routinely looks towards as a hope for some sort of secret power. He’s tried dialing PARIS into the phone in hopes of a regurgitation of last season, but nothing’s happened. for the record, we just think the door’s there as decoration and a glossed-up remnant of a season gone by. There’s no other value to it at present. Scott’s a step away from Hodor yelling “hold the door” at this point … or hold the door open? We’re still workshopping the joke.
We’ll be back later tonight at this link to break down the eviction / the next Head of Household. Be sure to check back then! (Photo: CBS.)
