‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 promo turns Beacon Hills into museum piece
While we may not always love every little decision that MTV makes when it comes to their promotional efforts, we gotta give them a massive thumbs-up for what they’re pulling off right now with “Teen Wolf” season 6. It’s different than anything we’ve seen from them to date, and with that, also wonderfully innovative.
In the video below (taken from the show’s official Facebook), you can see the town of Beacon Hills basically turned into a museum, where you can see some various remnants of important people and places over the years. At the end of it, the word “remember” is plastered across the reason.
The main reason why we specifically find this particular piece so wonderful is because it really does give you a sense thematically of what the series is trying to hype up for the new season: The sentiment that being remembered is more important than almost anything. The Ghost Riders, some of the primary villains for this season, possess the rather-terrifying ability to make people forget the existence of someone. They will kidnap Stiles at some point in the early going this season, and from there a good chunk of the story is going to be geared towards finding a way to bring him back. At first, they may not realize that he is gone, but over time there will be a sinking feeling that there is something missing from the world, even if they cannot quite put their finger on precisely what it is.
New episodes of the series start on Tuesday, November 15, which is just over two weeks away. If MTV is putting this much effort into their teasers, imagine what we’re getting when it comes to the show itself.
