‘American Horror Story: Roanoke’ episode 7 preview: Everyone’s closer to dying
Tonight, “American Horror Story” officially kicked off the reboot with an episode that provided as dramatic a twist as you could probably hope for, as we shifted to another show, one that gave us a “Big Brother” vibe thanks to the premise of locking everyone up in a house together while enduring the Blood Moon.
For us, it was ridiculous while also being ridiculously entertaining, and the sort of thing we do like and appreciate about this franchise when it is working. We also got one valuable piece of information about it: Almost everyone is going to die in some way between now and when the filming for the show ends.
The preview that we saw tonight for the next installment did not really give away too much, other than making it clear that more people are going to be in serious danger. We’ll have a few people seemingly entering the woods for whatever reason, while we’re also going to see Sidney doing a happy-dance for all of the pain and misery he is causing them within the world of his show. He did set up some “scares” for people that were not actually real, but we certainly think it’s possible that he is in for a surprise himself by the time he makes it to the end of it. (Also, we think there will be plenty of people out there waiting for him to get some comeuppance for what he’s putting people through.)
While it may be early still to determine the end result of this season, we have to say we’re enjoying it much more six episodes in than either of the two seasons before it. At least this time around we’re keeping things reasonably simple.
