‘Shiptober: Will ‘Power’ season 4 change anything for Ghost, Angela?

Power -Mrs. Carter: How do you overcome an arrest?

There are so many challenges that are being set up for James St. Patrick at the start of “Power” season 4, and the biggest one of course stems from what happened during the season finale. The character, played by Omari Hardwick, was put in handcuffs over the death of Greg Knox, and if that was not bad enough, the fact that it was Angela Valdez who put him in said handcuffs makes it even worse. These are people who were once living together and plotting out a future romantically. Ghost left it behind when he thought that their lives were in jeopardy, and he felt he was “taking one for the team” by leaving her.

Well, she’s heartbroken, and her suspicion over Ghost’s role in Lobos’ death has her incredibly suspicious as to what happened to Greg. It was actually Mike Sandoval who took him out, but we’re not sure if she’ll be able to figure this out.

For this edition in our month-long ‘Shiptober feature, the question we’re interested in getting a simple answer to is this: If there a way that Ghost and Angela can walk all of this back and have a future together? With this show, we do think that anything is possible.

The case for them getting back together eventually is rather simple: Passion. These two have shown more love for each other than almost any romantic couple out there, and that’s the sort of stuff that really cannot be discounted or overlooked. We feel like the moment that Angela realizes that he is not guilty of this, they’ll make a huge step towards becoming closer again. With that said, we’re not sure it will happen in full until Ghost explains what happened with Lobos and why he did it. They’ve been hot-and-cold for most of the series to date, and the aggressiveness of their recent actions could push them even further in that direction.

Meanwhile, the case against them is easy to define: She arrested him! In order for these two to get back together, Ghost is going to have to decide to step away from Tasha and his family again, and Angela’s going to have to decide that Ghost is innocent in Greg’s death and that she can move past what happened with Lobos. That’s a lot of “if” statements for her to overcome. It’s possible that one of them could do something worse that sends them even further down a pit.
