‘Timeless’ episode 4 preview: Sean Maguire, Ian Fleming, and Nazi Germany

Timeless -Even before this season of “Timeless” first began, we heard the glorious news that “Once Upon a Time” fan favorite Sean Maguire was going to be guest-starring. Not only that, but we learned that he would be playing the part of Sir Ian Fleming, the famed author responsible for creating James Bond. Apparently, he happened to be in Germany at the same time that Lucy, Wyatt, and Rufus are going to be visiting the period and place on next week’s new episode “Party at Castle Varlar.” This is certainly a rather-odd name, and we imagine that it is charting a course towards an episode that is equally-odd in every way.

Basically, we’re going to be visiting a place known for unspeakable horrors, and yet at the same time the team could be forced to attend one of the most awkward parties out there.

Synopsis – “Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter), and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) are shocked when they’re told the mothership has landed in Nazi Germany, but time is short, and they’re the only ones equipped to kill Flynn (Goran Višnjic) and end his psychotic crusade. Now, in hot pursuit of a genius with sinister associations, the team weighs the consequences of Flynn’s destruction, meets the man behind one of literature’s most popular figures, and endures a very uncomfortable… party.”

It’s rather hard to figure out precisely what Fleming will bring to this story, but as they start to learn more about what Garcia Flynn and what he wants, it will be easier to learn precisely how to stop him. At some point along the way, we also have to figure that Lucy will want her life in the present to stay the same.
