‘Supergirl’ season 2, episode 2 video: Kara Danvers meets Snapper Carr

Supergirl -

Monday night’s new episode of “Supergirl” is right around the corner, and in the sneak peek below, we’re getting a sense of one thing: Kara Danvers’ professional future. She decided during the premiere episode, with the help of Cat Grant, that reporting was meant to be her future at CatCo. With that, she’s getting a new boss and some new opportunities to go along with it.

Herein lies the bad news for Kara: This new boss is not exactly someone who views her with any sort of ambition, or really cares about her whatsoever. His name is Snapper Carr (played by “Cougar Town” alum Ian Gomez), and the sneak peek below is a worthy introduction to this character. The difference between Cat and Snapper is clear: She cares about style and presentation, and also tends to push people further she truly believes in. That’s why she was so willing to constantly needle Kara by not referring to her by her proper first name.

After this introduction, we’re not sure Snapper sees Kara the same way at all. He expects her to get a job done, and he may not have any further affection for her. He’s very good at what he does, and may not have time to even bother with giving advice to anyone working under him. For Kara, we imagine this will be a challenge — especially when Cat isn’t around. Given that Calista Flockhart is not a regular this season, we imagine that this episode could end up being one of the last opportunities we have to see her for a little while on the show. Maybe we’ll be proven wrong and the writers will find more ways to implement her, but these are hard things to predict in advance.

What we can tell you is that we have some other “Supergirl” news at this link! Let’s just say that involves a “Legends of Tomorrow” character who may have a crush on her when you see the crossover come together.

Also, remember that we’ll have a full review for this episode up tonight after it airs. (Photo: The CW.)
