‘Game of Thrones’ season 7: Some more fun via Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner

The excitement for “Game of Thrones” season 7 is real, and we say that even more so considering that production is now finally underway in Northern Ireland. While it may be starting a little bit later than usual, we’re at least happy that we are still getting new episodes next summer. Sometimes, waiting for the best possible product is worth it — even if we are only talking about seven episodes as opposed to the typical ten.

What we’ve got for you below are a pair of social-media highlights showcasing further that two of the show’s stars in Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner are clearly having some fun — and showing it off with some fans in the process.

The first photo is of a close-up of the shared tattoos that Williams and Turner got earlier this year, with Williams telling Yahoo! of its significance:

“It’s the 7th of August and not the 8th of July — because in the UK we put our dates the other way around … It was the day I found out I got the part in Game of Thrones.”

Basically, these two women have been working on this project now more than seven years, which is rather shocking when you think about just how fast the time’s moved since the beginning of the series. By the time the show finishes filming more than likely next year, that will mean that these people will have inhabited the show for eight years. Beyond that, who knows what will happen to the franchise? There’s of course constant talk of possible spin-offs, but who knows where that will lead, or what actors (if any) will take part in it if it happens?
