‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 15 video: Lucas’ speech earns an awkward response

What happens on “Girl Meets World” in the event that Riley and Maya do not become friends? To compare this for a moment to “The Flash,” we’re getting almost a Flashpoint Paradox situation on Friday night’s “Girl Meets World of Terror 3.” Maybe this Halloween-themed episode isn’t quite scary in itself, but at the same time, the thought of Riley and Maya not being friends with each other is. Maybe, in part, that is where this name is coming from.

The new sneak peek below comes to you via Entertainment Weekly, and it’s incredibly silly. Almost all of it revolves around Lucas giving Riley some sort of lengthy monologue about wolves and sheep, only for her to reply that she’s “a duck” instead. There are two things worth noting about this in particular.

1. Riley’s become incredibly socially-awkward without Maya in her life. Her best friend is now a stuffed teddy bear, and she may not know quite how to communicate with other people — which is a shame for her, given that there’s something romantic between her and Lucas in the other timeline.

2. For some reason, Lucas is in this version obsessed with Texas sporting a cowboy hat and Western wear. Didn’t he know before he even met Riley and Maya that he shouldn’t dress like that all the time? Maybe, but we suppose putting him in these clothes is a little bit funnier.

By the end of the episode, we’re sure everything will be restored to normal — and it’s likely that this is all just a crazy dream to begin with.
