‘Masters of Sex’ season 4, episode 5 sneak peeks: Bill, Libby ponder their future

There is a new episode of “Masters of Sex” airing on Showtime this weekend, and above everything else, this suggests to us one thing: The folks over at Showtime are incredibly gutsy. It takes a lot from a courage standpoint to try and run up against both a Presidential Debate and also NFL football, but the show is still going to be giving it a good shot.

Not only that, but we’ve got a pair of sneak peeks to give some further insight into everything that’s coming.

1. Are Bill and Libby on the road to recovery? – While the two are certainly closer, and more open to experimenting, than they ever were during their original time together, we wouldn’t call them reconciled just yet. We would, however, say that they are definitely venturing into new territory that could lead them in all sorts of directions (at least in theory, given that this show will probably follow the story of real life enough that we’re getting Bill and Virginia married eventually).

For the time being, we remain interested in seeing where this new Libby goes, given that she is probably the character who has transformed the most since the very beginning of the series.

2. Betty and Helen’s awkward encounter – It is always nice to have Sarah Silverman on the show, and based on this preview, it’s getting harder and harder for Helen to keep things regarding her and Betty quiet. We’re actually willing to call Betty’s recovery to seeing Helen’s parents one of the worst in existence, and if we were her, we’d probably want to dart down the hallway and pretend like it never happened.
