‘Poldark’ season 2, episode 6 video: George continues to be awful
There is a new episode of “Poldark” coming to BBC One on Sunday, and we come now bearing an announcement that we assume many people already know: George is the worst. Seriously. This guy is like the school bully who literally has no life for himself, and as a result of that he decides that he’s going to go around poking you with a stick and then laughing about it later. He doesn’t have any real redeeming qualities, and he’s desperate to get at Ross really regardless of whatever the means may be.
Based on the first part of the sneak peek below, a big part of his plot seems to be to ruin his life immediately following Christmas with a visit to debtors’ prison. Ever since he was unable to get him convicted during the trial, his latest strategy appears to be more or less finding a way to completely destroy him financially. It may not be the easiest thing for him to figure out — such matters do have a tendency to be rather complicated — but we have certainly known George over time to be someone more than capable of getting precisely what he wants.
Eventually, we do see the sneak peek transition elsewhere, but at the same time we don’t get too much other than a small scene there. We do wonder why in the world the BBC chooses to divide things up in such a way, giving us two scenes in a sneak peek that, when the dust settles, are mostly completely unrelated.
