‘Masters of Sex’ season 4, episode 4 preview: One awkward party

“Masters of Sex” has made its living in part off of relationships, whether they be romantic, platonic, or strictly awkward ones. We’ve seen the gamut over the years, and that’s why some of the best episodes are the ones when many of the major characters get thrown into one room and are forced to interact for a lengthy period of time. There’s some humor that comes out of that, but at the same time, there’s also a heck of a lot of drama.

“Coats or Keys” is the title for this upcoming episode next week, and that certainly has a swinger sort of vibe to it. The synopsis below (via TV Guide) gives you a little bit of insight into what is going to be coming up:

“Johnson, Masters, Libby and Keller wind up together at a party thrown by Art and Nancy. Pairings and perspectives shift as the night wears on, until the light of day exposes the consequences of the previous evening.”

All in all, we expect this to be a fun, twisty episode that challenges not only relationships, but feelings. What that means for the future remains to be seen, but given where real life takes Masters and Johnson, we have to assume that their path will lead to the roads coming back together in due time. Given that so many main characters are all present at this one singular gathering, it would not shock us in the slightest if we spent almost the entire episode at this event.
