‘Poldark’ season 2, episode 4 video: Ross, George have another face-to-face meeting

There are a few things that remain constant within the world of “Poldark,” and the biggest one simply happens to be that George Warleggan continues to be a man who loves to puff out his chest at any given opportunity. How else do you explain some of the intimidation that he tries to engage in courtesy of the sneak peek below.

In this preview, George starts things off by bragging on an extreme level about his recent purchase in Wheal Leisure, something that he wants to rub in his face. Ross, however, is ready to engage in a little bit of bragging of his own, and for seemingly good reason: He’s finally set to take a step forward! He and Francis are plotting to go into business together, and this is an exciting opportunity for the two of them to enjoy their work.

Unfortunately, George has a way to turn that smile upside-down by the end of this preview, and it comes via informing Ross that the money that he believes Francis to have for their business venture may not have come from the most legitimate place; as a matter of fact, it could be seen as a dramatic betrayal, and yet another act from Francis that tears the Poldark family apart. Right when you think these two are starting to build a solid sandcastle, someone runs up and kicks it down. As is typically the case on this show, George is the guy anxiously awaiting to do the kicking.
