‘Big Brother 18’ finale: Zakiyah Everette – CBS backyard interview highlights
Zakiyah Everette voted for Nicole over Paul on “Big Brother 18’s” finale on Wednesday night, and of course we were curious to figure out why — in addition to a wide array of other topics. She’s someone who was frustrating at times mostly because of her hot-and-cold relationship with Paulie, and we couldn’t quite read her in the jury.
Below, you can see some of her backyard interview highlights with Big Jeff.
On being out of the house – “I’m free, I’m happy, I’m ready to turn up tonight.”
On the jury – “There wasn’t tension on my end … Honestly, I just tried to do my thing, hung out with Paulie, and [the other side of the house did their thing].”
On the future of her and Paulie – “We’ll see where everything goes. I don’t know … I saw a whole another side of Paulie. After this, we’ll see where it goes.”
On Paulie not using the Veto – “I was hurt by it, it really upset me, but he apologized for it at the roundtable and [said] that he regretted it. He trusted James to use those two votes to [help keep her] … It is what it is, it happened.”
On the outcome – “I’m very happy that my girl Nicole won … I knew that if she made it to the end, she had my vote no matter what.”
In the end, Zakiyah seems content with her experience, but in the end we’d say that there was so much more we wanted to see from her strategically. Also, of course her being paired with Paulie did not help her much in terms of public popularity.
