‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4, episode 2 preview: Ghost Rider vs. Daisy Johnson

SHIELD -Tonight, the “Agents of SHIELD” premiere aired on ABC, and we imagine that for many people out there, this was a rather cool one to behold. How can you be upset about the show doing Ghost Rider justice in a way that Nicolas Cage never did? This was a legitimately-scary presentation of the villain, and the battle between him and Daisy is already proving to be fire. Can you argue that it is overshadowing the rest of the series? Sure, but the other stories should pick up steam in new time.

For example, Coulson and the new Director (Jason O’Mara) going face-to-face should give us some interesting dividends. For some more scoop on that, just take a look at the synopsis for “Meet the New Boss” now below:

“Daisy goes to battle Ghost Rider at a terrible cost, and Coulson faces the new Director, and his bold agenda surprises them all.”

In the preview that aired following the episode, we specifically saw Ghost Rider go after Chloe Bennet’s character for one primary reason more so than any other: She knew his true identity, and so long as that was the case, she was a danger to him / something he could not afford. The scenes we could see as a result of this could be among the most intense we’ve had to date, and let’s be honest — while we’re worried for her future, we’re at the same time supremely excited for how all of this is going to be coming together.
