‘Quantico’ season 2 spoilers: Blair Underwood on mysterious new character

The second season of “Quantico” will be premiering on ABC over the course of the coming weekend, and there are many new additions that are going to further shape the tapestry of the show. With Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) moving over from the FBI to the CIA, she’s going to encounter quite a few new faces. Her new training director Owen Hall at the agency is going to be one of them.

Coming off of his arc as Andrew on “Agents of SHIELD,” Blair Underwood is going to have an extremely significant role in the story ahead; however, the nature of that role remains to be seen. (Let’s just hope that it’s a little bit different than Liam’s.) In speaking on this further to Entertainment Weekly, Underwood stated the following:

“He’s a bit of a mystery [because of] whether or not he has an ulterior motive in training his recruits … What we know is he’s great at what he does, and we know that he was one of the top operatives in the CIA, but how he left and why he left is a mystery.” 

The good news here is that Underwood is going to be someone who is challenging and difficult on Alex, which will be great in making her a better agent. Given that we know there are some other enormous threats out there in the world entering season 2, the agency will need her to be at the top of her game. We’ve seen what she’s capable of already, but this is a world where the action never really stops!
