‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: The Veto winner and sad trombones
No, that title is not mean to be seen as a reference that Steve Moses is back in the “Big Brother” house — we’re speaking more about the emotional state of things tonight in the wake of the news that there could be one final pair broken up entering the final three.
Paul won the Power of Veto earlier today, and with that he seems to be telling James who he wants out of the house — and in this case, that person is Corey rather than Nicole. We’ve done a lot of thinking about this, and it may actually be the best choice for Paul in order to make it to the end for one reason and one reason only: The second part of the final Head of Household.
Let’s frame it like this: There’s not a great chance that Paul is going to be able to beat either Nicole or James in endurance, given that they’re both extremely well-suited for it. However, Paul could beat either one of them in a physical / mental competition hybrid like we often see in part two, provided that he studies enough. Nicole would probably study up Corey for that, and he’s much more athletic than Nicole. This is a move that raises his chances of making it to the final two in our eyes.
As for whether or not it raises his odds of winning, not so much. He’s made a final two deal with Nicole tonight, and we really hope that’s him covering his butt more so than committing to go with her. James is the perfect person to go to the end of the game with given that he’s done next to nothing all game. He has Natalie and Michelle’s vote, and maybe someone like Nicole / Corey could give up some love. Yet, Da’Vonne, Zakiyah, Paulie, Bridgette, and Victor would surely vote for Paul to win, and that’s enough to seal it.
