‘American Horror Story’ season 6 spoilers: Ryan Murphy offers tiniest tease before premiere
It may be crazy to think, but tomorrow night marks the season 6 premiere of “American Horror Story.” To date, this promotional campaign may be the strangest that we’ve seen for any show in the history of history. We’ve seen a variety of clues, but at the same time, there is nothing that screams definitely that this theme is going to be the one the show sticks with over the course of the season.
Now that we are hours away, we’re at least glad to have at least one more cryptic tease to share! Speaking in a new interview with Gold Derby at the Creative Arts Emmys, co-creator Ryan Murphy was kind enough to pass along the following message:
“[Season 6] will be familiar and shocking, I think, to people what [the theme] is … We’re playing with a different form, so it’s not like any Horror season you’ve ever seen. It’s very very radically different [with] the narrative structure of what we’re doing.”
If there is one thing that we really are hoping for above anything else, it is that season 6 is simpler, stronger, and a little less wacky. It’s okay to be over-the-top if you are accomplishing something in the process, like giving us some humor or some ideas that we have not seen before on the show. However, at the same time we’re not exactly much of a fan of excess. That’s something that the series spent much of season 5 swimming in.
