‘The Blacklist’ season 4 spoilers: Megan Boone hints at more Liz backstory

While you may not have seen a whole lot of Liz Keen through the final episodes of “The Blacklist” season 3 thanks to both Megan Boone’s pregnancy and story decisions made as a result of that, take note that this is something that will probably change in a big way when the show returns for season 4. We’ve got a key cliffhanger to resolve in Alexander Kirk, and with his presence could consequently come a little bit more pressure for the show to try to resolve some loose ends from her past. Given that Kirk is claiming to be her father, this is something that the show has to look at moving forward, right?

Based on what Boone herself said to Entertainment Weekly recently, all signs are pointing towards the opportunity to get to know way more of Liz’s backstory as we start to propel ourselves further into the story ahead:

“What it’s starting to look like is we are really delving into Liz’s past and exposing a lot of things that have been withheld throughout the series. So I can’t say confidently, but I think so.”

Okay, so that’s not a guarantee that we will learn the truth about Liz’s parentage or even the infamous fire in season 4, but we consider these signs that the show will be diving more into her history more so than ever before over the coming episodes. If you love character mythology, we definitely think that this is something to celebrate.
