‘Poldark’ season 2, episode 1 preview: What to expect in premiere episode

“Poldark” fans, the moment is finally here! Come Sunday, the second season of the series is going to be premiering on the BBC, and with that of course come opportunities for us to finally get a good sense as to how the epic cliffhangers from last season are going to be resolved.

Now that we’ve said all of that, let’s get to the part of this article that we know most people will be interested in: Teasers! Here are a series of things that you are probably going to be seeing over the course of the new episodes ahead.

1. Ross is going to face enormous trouble courtesy of George Warleggan in court. This is a man who wields tremendous money and power, and he is also supremely manipulative to boot. At one point, Demelza will do her part to point this out, but it may be to no avail.

2. There will be further trouble between Francis and Ross, and it will cause Francis to consider taking drastic (and tragic) action.

3. At one point, Elizabeth will also take on the role of negotiator as she has her own motives to help further take care of Ross. In turn, we imagine that this could cause further tension given the state of things between her, him, and Demelza.

Of course, some of you who are book readers / original series viewers will have a relative sense of what to expect over the course of the story ahead, but we do hope along the way that there are a few changes. We do think you want to keep the spirit of what has come before, but simultaneously find some unique ways to stand out on your own as a TV series.
