‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: James and Natalie feel the regret

For our final “Big Brother” update of today, we’re going to be focusing on one prevailing emotional above all others: Regret. Specifically, we’re doing so through the lens of James and Natalie, two people who certainly had all of the time in the world in order to change up their fate but ultimately didn’t do a whole lot with the opportunity.

Basically, tonight James is realizing for the first time that he should have evicted Corey over Victor back when he had the chance. Nicole would’ve been down an ally, someone like Paulie would have returned to the game, and the entire field could have been different. Is there a guarantee that he’d be in a better spot? Well, if nothing else Paulie’s presence may have convinced Nicole to go for a different target last week like a Paul or Victor. It’s all hard to say.

Personally, we think James and Natalie’s biggest mistake as they await nominations tomorrow is that they didn’t even try to build social relationships this past week when Nicole had power. Victor will likely listen to them as HoH, but they don’t have much of an argument to make. They can tell him that they had a final four with Nicole and Corey, but that won’t do much. They have to offer a stronger, more specific deal, or make it clear that Nicole is a bigger threat to win competitions at the end (which she is). We also do think Nicole could get at least a few votes for playing a strategically sound game, even if it’s not a popular one. (Yes, she has done a few things other than make out with Corey; people are calling her out because they’ve been burned by her and feel silly because of it.)
