‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ season 11, episode 11 review: Was Meghan King Edmonds over the line?

Orange -Last time on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” we saw the ladies get into a major dune buggy accident with Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson being taken to the hospital. How serious are their injuries? That has been the burning question all week as we have impatiently waited for the next new episode for answers.

This week we were thrown right back into the thick of it all as we saw Tamra getting released from the hospital, thankfully without any major injuries. Will this accident have an impact on the show she has been training for these past few months? Her trainer advises her to miss the upcoming show and enter the next one and reluctantly Tamra agrees.

Shannon and David show up to spend some time with Jim and Meghan on the golf course and it’s really cool to see Meghan and Shannon connecting after kind of a rough start when they first met. Meghan tells Shannon what happened with the accident and they talk to Heather and Kelly on the phone. They mention again that Vicki is alone at the hospital, to which Shannon and Meghan don’t really respond.

Meghan pulls up a map and tells Heather and Kelly that it’s only 45 minutes for them to get to the hospital and that they should go to see Vicki since they are her friends. Heather and Kelly are shocked by Meghan’s cold attitude and hang up on her. When Tamra shows up back at camp, Heather fills her in on the conversation she had with Shannon and Meghan, and she later calls them. When they hear Tamra’s description of what happened, they realize that this was way more serious then they originally though. Tamra calls Meghan and Shannon out for not putting aside their differences and going to the hospital to see if Vicki needed anything and the call ends badly.

After that call, Meghan decides to go and see Vicki and she tells Meghan she knows what was said. Meghan’s in a bit of a tough spot because she feels that Vicki has lied about major situations in the past, so it’s hard for Meghan to want to help because she didn’t know the severity of the situation. Now that she knows just how bad it really was, Meghan sincerely apologizes to Vicki and we hope that this can be a new starting point for these two. The only thing we thought was a little out of line, was Meghan telling Vicki (and other people around town) that Tamra was being “reckless” and that’s why the accident happened even though she wasn’t there and doesn’t actually know what happened.

The one thing we found interesting is that Meghan and Shannon found it “strange” that Vicki had pictures taken before she was airlifted, but personally we think that if you’re in an accident, the more pictures you can take the better since you don’t know what the fall out will be afterwards. It was awful that the accident happened at all, but the one good thing that came out of it was that Heather and Kelly found real friendship with each other. Sometimes the worst situations can bring people closer together. Episode grade: B+
