‘Quantico’ season 2 premiere: What should happen
The second season of “Quantico” is coming to ABC before you know it, and there is going to be a lot for this story to resolve. Given the way that the writers tend to pack in some of these stories, we imagine that they would not have it any other way. We continue to see twists and turns left and right, and it’s fair to speculate on how the show can find a way to keep things exciting and twisted, while at the same time not going completely crazy and just relying on pure shock value.
Below, we’re going to do our best to piece together where the show has gone, and also where it can go from here.
Where we left off – After Alex and company learned that it was Liam who was behind the attacks all along, they did everything that they could in order to stop any further damage from happening. They took him out, but in order to defuse a bomb, Simon ended up sacrificing himself. Eventually, we also learned the political powerhouse and Caleb’s mother Claire Haas was somehow involved in the conspiracy in her own way.
On a romantic front, it appeared as though Alex and Ryan were finally going to have a little bit of alone time before something came in as an interruption: An offer to Alex in order to join the CIA.
What should happen – What we’d appreciate is almost no time jump at all, and an episode that focused almost entirely on Alex becoming integrated into this organization while at the same time trying to maintain some of her current contacts. While it may be a lot of different things for her to juggle, at the same exact time, isn’t that part of the fun to see how she handles and conquers pressure?
With the focus mostly on Alex, we’d prefer the show take some time to reintroduce some familiar faces or bring in new ones. After all, the real objective here should be to start simple and then build outward, that way when some of the crazy twists happen, they really feel like something special. End the premiere episode with some big reveal as to Alex’s new mission, but don’t give too much away about the finer details just yet.
