While you wait for ‘Sherlock’ season 4, amazing parody goes viral
We all know that waiting is a terrible thing, and it’s even more terrible when you are talking about waiting for something like “Sherlock” season 4.
Well, we do think we’ve got a little bit of something to help deal with the feverish anticipation: The latest parody HERE via The Hillywood Show! These are the same folks who were responsible for the excellent “Supernatural” back during the Mark of Cain saga on that show, and they’ve done a lot of other great stuff over the years as well. This one is set to the tune of the famed “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and it contains a series of rather silly little moments here and there.
While the production design on this particular spoof is great, that’s not really what impresses us the most about this. Instead, it’s more seeing precisely how accurate this is to most of the show, and also how the lyrics are reworked in such a way so that they actually make some sense both to the original song and also the subject matter here. Ironically, there were a few things that did not even really need to be changed too much.
As for when you can expect to see season 4 of “Sherlock” proper on TV, the short answer to that is probably at some point in early 2017. There is no official premiere date just yet, but most signs seem to point to it getting similar treatment to the first few seasons, which aired relatively early on in the year.
