‘Fuller House’ season 2 spoilers: Two ‘Full House’ characters coming back
The second season of “Fuller House” is going to be introducing some characters who may be somewhat familiar. However, at the same time there’ll be one primary difference when you see them on the Netflix series moving forward: The actors playing them.
According to a new report from TVLine, the show will be bringing back DJ Tanner’s ex-boyfriend Nelson Burkhard (played at first by Jason Marsden) and Kathy Santoni, an old rival of hers (played originally by Anne Marie McEvoy) for some sort of spot in season 2. However, the fundamental change here is that you’re going to see different actors in both roles.
Can you really be altogether surprised by this? It’s hard to imagine that you would be, given the sole fact that the show has done many recastings before, and it is fairly easy to understand why when you remember that we’re talking about a show that originated in a very different era. So much time has passed, and with that there are going to be changes. That was the case with season 1, and that is probably going to be the case for however long the show remains on the air for … which could be a long time, at least based on some of the ratings that it received when it was first running on Netflix.
The good news here is that even though Nelson and Kathy are going to be played by new actors, the indication right now seems to be that there will not be a whole lot about them that has chanced since they last each surfaced on the show.
Rest assured that we will have some further news and casting information as it becomes available.
