‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 10 preview: Buzz confronts the past in ‘Dead Zone’
For most of this season on “Major Crimes,” we’ve seen Buzz look into the death of his father and through some methodical police work (and a little bit of help from Rusty here and there), he’s started to come closer to getting some answers. This brings us to the story of next week’s “Dead Zone,” arguably the most important hour of the season for the character so far.
While we may not be able to tell you too many specifics when it comes to his story for the week, we can at least give you this: He will come face-to-face with someone who may have been there at the time of his father’s death. In turn, this may take him a significant way forward in finally figuring things out once and for all. This has been a compelling story for him, and given the amount of work that he’s put into it, you do have to want to see some sort of closure for him.
As for what else you can see over the course of the episode, the case of the week is going to have personal ramifications for Sanchez. In turn, there will also be a large criminal operation that is uncovered as a result of the investigation.
There are three more episodes still to come beyond this one, but the status of Buzz’s case (and other matters) in them remains unclear. What we can tell you is that those three episodes will be a part of the “White Lies” arc, this season’s equivalent to “Hindsight” in many ways.
