‘The Night Of’ episode 5 preview: Box visits the gas station, retraces steps
The next new episode of “The Night Of” is coming to HBO on Sunday night, and after spending a couple of weeks seeing more of Nasir’s transition to Rikers Island, the show seems fully prepared now to move in a slightly different direction. Specifically, we’re going back more into the investigation, which is personally quite fine for us given that this is the part of the show we really enjoy in the first place.
The preview below shows both Box and also John Stone looking back at some of what happened with Naz that night, and it includes everything from the gas-station footage (of course, that’s coming back) to the journey that he took with Andrea to the river. Maybe, they can find some further clues along the way, but if nothing else, at least Naz can further prove that he was telling the truth that every facet of his journey happened.
Judging that Stone is still having conversations with Naz, we’re starting to suspect that he has transitioned over to having him again after the whole Alison fiasco. If nothing else, Stone has shown that he cares about him enough to try.
One thing we do find interesting about where we are with this show at present is that we’ve been reading some assorted YouTube comments on these videos, and people are practically begging for these episodes to be released all at once. That just shows the climate we’re in! Personally, we do prefer the weekly format still since it gives you a chance to see one hour and then theorize / discuss with your friends before the next one. Something can be said for being patient.

Strongly disagree w/ your statement “Personally, we do prefer the weekly format still since it gives you a chance to see one hour and then theorize / discuss with your friends before the next one.” The one episode a week model is old. All at once, would have been so so much better.
