‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: ‘A Matter of Trust’ and a Billy Joel reference

Oliver -

We love exploring episode titles as much as the next guy, especially when it comes to theorizing about them.

However, there’s really not too much to say about the upcoming third episode of “Arrow” season 5 other than the name is “A Matter of Trust,” which we like to think is some sort of Billy Joel reference. (The title was first announced by executive producer Marc Guggenheim; take a look at his Twitter post below, along with the music video for the song.) This title could be about several different things, given that trust is a major commodity for Team Arrow and anyone they work with. Unfortunately, within this world it also is a rather difficult thing to come by.

For the most part, all three of the season 5 episode titles are vague, starting with “Legacy” before going on to “The Recruits.” At least with episode 2 have a small idea what it could be about, given that Oliver could take some new vigilantes under his wing. It makes some sense given that he is now the Mayor of Star City, and as a result of that there may only be so much time on his plate in order to go out and protect the city in a more physical fashion.

Hopefully, we’ll get a little more information in the months to come. For now, we presume that we should go off and think about some other possibly Billy Joel inspired episode songs. (Will Oliver Queen open up a piano bar in his first duty as Mayor?)
