The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 5: Star on Louis, Regina story

As we prepare for The Vampire Lestat season 3 episode 5 to arrive on AMC this coming week, we understand anyone feeling a little bit strange about Louis. After all, this is a character who we have come to love over the course of time. However, watching him suffer has been hard. His revenge tour on Bruce hardly gave him a lot of satisfaction. Because of that, he has now gravitated over to Regina, the woman at the diner who looks almost identical to Claudia.

Is Louis really going to pay her to be Claudia? Based on what we’ve seen so far that is possible … even if it is really difficult to watch.

Speaking to TV Insider on this very subject, here is what Jacob Anderson himself had to say:

“It’s really, really uncomfortable. I feel like the Regina stuff is the most icky I’ve felt about Louis. Like [Sam Reid] said earlier on about Lestat and Gabriella, you want to play in the dirt. You don’t want it to all be so clean.”

Ultimately, this is certainly not clean and what we ultimately hope is that if Regina is going to be close to Louis, he decides to get to know her as Regina and not some substitute for the person he lost. He may think that this is some sort of quick-fix solution to his grief when in reality, it is probably just going to cause him even more pain long-term. We really just hope that this is something he figures out more and more as this show goes along, but time is of the essence. There are only a few more episodes remaining!
