At the moment, there are definitely some elements of “Beauty and the Beast” this season that feel like “The Fugitive.” After all, much of the past couple of episodes has fixated on the Vincent character being on the run, and us not knowing entirely how he is going to work his way out of this situation.
Apparently, it could go so far as him being willing to expose himself to tests as a means to keep himself safe. In the just-released synopsis for the upcoming August 11 episode entitled “Means to an End,” The CW reveals that Jay Ryan’s character will have to deal with these tests, as set up from the mystery buyer, so that he is not exposed.
Is there still hope that some of his friends will be able to help him? Sure, and the same goes for his wife Catherine. While he is going through this bit of drama, JT, Heather, and Cat will do everything they can to have him exonerated.
One thing to remember here is that in terms of the arc of the season, this is the tenth one to come on the air. There are only three more after this one, and we have to imagine as a result of that this story will be accelerated. We want to obviously learn more about the buyer, and figure out what some of the final threats truly are for Vincent as he reaches the finish line. The ambiguity of the Big Bad probably is the weakest component of this season as a whole.
