‘Vikings’ season 4, episode 11 trailer: Is Ragnar in grave danger?

The fourth season 4 “Vikings” is returning this fall to History, and as excited as we are to see the return of the show, we’re not sure some of the characters are going to be anywhere near as excited to see Ragnar.

As you know, the end of the first half of season 4 brought us a rather lengthy time jump, and when we come back on the air, several things are going to be very different. His sons have grown up in many ways without him, and they are all going to have varying opinions on him being back around. Ragnar challenged them to defend his position, and for the time being, we know that he’s still standing.

With that being said, is he going to survive the remainder of the season? That is what remains to be seen, since we have to admit we’re a little bit worried after seeing him put in a cage and being trotted off somewhere. Could it be a journey on his way to Northumbria? Are the pit of snakes coming? We’re certainly worried about it, and we certainly don’t think the network shied away from stoking the fires of this possibility at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. In addition to this trailer, even the display for the show on the convention floor had a significant air of mystery and danger about it. We could imagine the show moving forward to being about the sons, especially with Ivar the Boneless becoming such a huge key player in Viking lore. (Let’s just say he’s not exactly a lover of peace and flowers.)
