“Outlander” season 2 certainly encompassed a far-reaching journey. We saw everything from France and Scotland in the 18th century to Claire Fraser / Randall in the 1940s and then later the 1960s, where we got a chance to meet the likes of Roger and Brianna for the first time.
We certainly hope that the cliffhanger ending, one where Claire realizes she has to go back through the stones in order to find Jamie once more, is enough to suffice you for the wait ahead. As you may be aware, there is no new episode airing on Saturday night; moreover, there is not another new episode coming up until we roll around potentially to the new year. Given that production for season 3 has not even started as of yet, it is hard to imagine it coming on the air faster.
The third season will be based story-wise on the Voyager book written by Diana Gabaldon, which will feature characters old and new and also bring us to some different parts of the world, as well. Much in the way that “Game of Thrones” is still not complete, one of the exciting aspects of this show is that we are still building towards some sort of mysterious conclusion. The major difference between the two is that here, the odds of the show ever getting ahead of the source material are fairly slim. The show started later, and there are more books.
Once there is some further news out there regarding “Outlander” season 3 production, rest assured that we will have them here. That includes news on whenever the show could premiere.
