‘The Fosters’ season 4 spoilers: Lena’s birthday and possible complications
Shouldn’t birthdays be a happy occasion? We like to think so, which makes what is coming up on “The Fosters” all the more interesting. The upcoming July 25 episode entitled “Forty” will be all about Lena’s big day, but a few arrivals could throw things off for her. It’s a shame, especially since we’re talking about a show where there are constantly super-depressing things that happen to this family. Sooner or later, of course you want to see them have a win and be able to relax a little.
Anyhow, the synopsis below makes it clear that even beyond Lena’s birthday, there are a few other issues that could surface:
“Lena is excited that her family is coming together to throw her a 70s-themed 40th birthday party. But, when Lena’s mom Dana (guest star Lorraine Toussaint, “Orange Is the New Black”) shares her suspicions about Stewart’s (guest star Bruce Davison, “X-Men”) behavior, it threatens to put a damper on the festivities. Convinced her former foster brother Kyle has been wrongly convicted of murder, Callie and Aaron try to track down a witness in the case. Mariana and her female STEAM club teammates compete for an invite to the Regional Robotics Competition.
“Meanwhile, Jude is hurt to discover that Connor came to town and didn’t tell him, and Brandon considers drastic measures to make extra money.”
For Jude in particular, we’re sure that this had to be particularly distressing since we know that this was one of the first great loves of his life. Yet, people change, and maybe down the road Connor will admit to some of his mistakes and they can move forward. If not, there are many other people in this world. So few of us ever end up with the first person we have a relationship with in school.
